CLIENT OVERVIEW

Out Client is a newly established nickel mining company aiming to provide clean, auditable battery grade metals for the automotive industry, alongside scandium alloy additives for aviation. Following the completion of Definitive Feasibility Studies in 2019, with an estimated CapEx of AUD $2.3 billion, the company needed a fit-for-purpose ERP system to support its transition from early-stage operations into full-scale project execution and long-term sustainability. With over 200 users and a complex operational landscape, Sunrise required a scalable, integrated technology platform.

THE CHALLENGE

The client was operating on basic financial software (MYOB) and lacked an integrated platform to manage complex business functions across procurement, maintenance, HR, and project controls. As the organisation grew, there was an urgent need to implement an ERP system that could support a full technology landscape including integration with critical systems like INX, PRISM, and Primavera P6 while also aligning with unique operational requirements.

APPROACH

We led the design, selection, and implementation of a tailored ERP system to support client’s operational needs. This included defining the enterprise architecture, running a structured vendor selection process, and mapping key business processes such as Purchase to Pay and Hire to Retire. We established system configuration requirements and integrated the ERP with key platforms like INX, Primavera P6, and PRISM. The result was a smooth transition from MYOB to a scalable solution aligned with the company’s growth plans.

SOLUTION

A tailored ERP solution was implemented, specifically configured to meet the operational needs of a new mining company. The system provided seamless integration across core functions, aligned with the company’s enterprise architecture, and delivered clearly defined workflows to support end-to-end operations.

IMPACT

The client achieved a smooth transition from legacy systems to an integrated ERP platform, enabling reliable information flow, operational consistency, and better decision making. The solution was both cost effective and scalable, ensuring it could evolve with the business. Well documented processes and aligned system configurations positioned the company for long-term success.
