Case Study - MOS Manual Digitised for Centralised Access
Crystal GanzorigCLIENT OVERVIEW
Our client is building a large silver lead mine and processing plant in a remote area. As a greenfield project building its practices from the ground up, the need for modernisation and digital information assets was growing. The MOS manual was used regularly as a critical asset to operations and there was a desire for integration through digitisation.
THE CHALLENGE
The existing MOS Manual, due to its detail, lacks user-friendly access and navigation for a general stakeholder. The challenge is to streamline the manual into an intuitive format, allowing employees to easily find and apply its contents, thereby boosting productivity and ensuring the manual's guidance is effectively integrated into daily operations.
APPROACH
The strategy centred on leveraging the MOS Manual as the primary source of information. Key elements from the manual were selected and organised into a user-friendly architecture. This design was crafted to integrate seamlessly with the architecture of the existing Intranet, promoting ease of use and functional consistency.
SOLUTION
The solution involved creating a SharePoint-based Information Hub designed for intuitive navigation of information resources. It organised documents, data, and resources into a central repository that can be easily accessed and managed, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organisation.
IMPACT
The Information Hub has streamlined access to the MOS Manual, enhancing efficiency and decision-making across the organisation by providing staff with immediate access to essential procedures and standards. The user-friendly interface ensured that all employees can quickly find and utilise the information they need.
